The United Nations Security Council has imposed new sanctions on North Korea for its rocket launch and warned of 'significant action' in the event of a fresh nuclear test, but Pyongyang remained defiant.
"There was a resolution in the United Nations Security Council. If Pakistan had not taken steps under that, then they could have declared Pakistan a terrorist state. They could have crippled Pakistan's economy," Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said.
On Pakistan, the publication quoted him as saying that India wants "normal and neighborly relations."
This is the second time that China has defended the decision to put a technical hold on India's bid to ban Azhar, the mastermind of the January 2 Pathankot terrorist attack.
